Membership Information

Everyone is welcome to join the Arran Riding Club, be they horse owners or not.

Objective

To encourage people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses. To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.

Membership Fees -2019

• Per Member, £25.00 per year
• Per Family, £40 per year

PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEBSITE FOR WHEN THE MEMBERSHIP LETTERS ARE GOING TO BE SENT OUT.

Please note that for insurance purposes, membership MUST be paid before participating in Club events. Membership renewals MUST be paid within a month of receiving your membership renewal letter. Late payment will result in a £10 increase.

Club Rules

1. Hard hats of a suitable current standard and riding or jodhpur boots must be worn at all mounted events.
2. Body protectors must be worn for all cross country, show jumping and working hunter classes, and for any jumping training.
3. Saddlery must fit the pony or horse and be in good repair.
4. Ridden ponies or horses must be 3 years and over.
5. Jumping ponies or horses must be 4 years and over.
6. All animals must be sound and under control.
7. Excessive and inappropriate use of a whip will not be tolerated. Any rider misusing the whip may be eliminated/excluded from the event at the discretion of the judges, ring stewards and/or any member of the committee.
8. Judges/ instructors decisions are final in foregoing rules.
9. Neither the club or any person acting on its behalf shall be responsible for any accident, damage. injury or loss to club members or their ponies/horses at any club meeting.
10. Although Arran Riding Club is covered by third party insurance we would advise that each individual is responsible for his/her insurance.
